The Hidden Fixed Charges
Even if you generate 100% of your power, you stay connected to the UPCL grid. You still have to pay:
- Fixed Meter Rent: Approx ₹200-400/month depending on your load.
- Electricity Duty: A small tax on units.
So your bill might drop from ₹4,000 to ₹300, but it will never be mathematically ZERO. Anyone promising "Zero Bill Guarantee" is over-selling.
