There is a new scam in town. Dealers are selling "Imported German Panels" at a premium. Here's the catch: Germany stopped mass-manufacturing simple poly/mono panels years ago.
The Label Swap
These are often B-grade Chinese panels or rejected Indian modules. The scammers print a "Made in Germany" sticker in local print shops and slap it on the back.
How to check? Ask for the ALMM (Approved List of Models and Manufacturers) certificate. If the brand isn't on the MNRE govt website, you won't get a subsidy, and you definitely aren't getting German engineering.
