If you have a customized roof with many angles, or big Lychee trees casting shadows, then YES.

If you have a flat, empty roof with zero shade? NO. A standard String Inverter (like Growatt or GoodWe) is perfectly fine.

Micro-inverters (like Enphase) are great because if one panel is shaded, the others keep working. But don't pay for premium tech if your roof doesn't need it.
